Labor Day Surprise!

We surprised the girls with a day trip for Labor Day to a mystery destination! We loaded up the car and set off this morning with the girls going crazy trying to guess where we were going. Maryella had seen me packing sandwiches in an ice chest, so she guessed that we were going on a picnic. Annlee said she thought we were going to a park. Kaylin guessed the zoo.

But they were all wrong! Well, I suppose Maryella was sort of right. We went to the beach! They were so excited when we drove up and they could see the ocean! They all squealed!

First, we ate lunch while Elianna enjoyed the view from our cabana.

Then we played and played all afternoon! We had such a wonderful time!!!

Maryella made birthday cakes for all of us at some point during the day, I think.
It was pretty crowded, but it didn't seem to bad when we were out there.

Jeff and I took turns taking the girls out into the water. Kaylin insisted on being carried because she didn't want her feet to get hurt on the shells. What a little diva.

We decided to let Elianna try out the water on this beach trip. She tested the water first, and then stood for a bit in it. Her first impression was that she wasn't too impressed!

Once the tide went out though, there was a great tidal pool to play in and she loved that! She sat there for a long time and splashed around! There's tons of pictures of her in the tidal pool, sorry! I just couldn't decide between them, they are all too cute!

I love this look in this picture! What a funny cutie pie!

We finally had to put an end to her playtime when she started snacking on the sand, though!

The other girls had a great time playing in the tidal pool as well! They mostly pretending to be mermaids.

Sadly, our day had to come to an end. Maryella may have possibly been a little tired at the end of the day!
It was such a wonderful day! Definitely packed full of fun memories!

Snack Time

Maryella will be taking snacks to school on Tuesday. They are talking about the color green, triangles, and the letter A for alligator. I think our snack covers it all! They turned out really cute, if I do say so myself!

Yummy!

Elianna has been trying several new foods lately. I've been making it myself, which is super easy and tons cheaper! She has loved all of it so far! She's had bananas, peaches, sweet potatoes, carrots and pears. Here's a few pictures of the fun!
Bananas
Peaches
Sweet Potatoes
Carrots

Football Season is Here!

The girls were so excited to put on their Auburn gear for the first game of the season! Here are some pictures from the park this morning where the weather actually felt like football weather! Elianna tried out the swing for the first time!

And here are a couple videos of my Auburn cheerleaders. How do you like their pom poms?
This first video is an Auburn Cheer called a Baada Getta. I have no clue if I'm spelling things right, but here's what the girls are saying...
Baada getta, baada getta, baada getta, baa
Raa, raa, raa, sis, boom, baa
Weegle, weegle, war eagle
Kick 'em in the hiney big blue!

And here they are singing the fight song. At one point, it is supposed to say "Put on your orange and blue." However, Annlee had always said, "Put on your horns and blue." We've tried to correct her to no avail...

I haven't forgotten!

Yes, Elianna was 6 months old yesterday. No, I didn't forget! I'll do a big post next week after we go to the doctor for her check up. That way I can update with all the fun stats! Get ready.... any guesses???

Maryella's First Day of School!

My house is strangly quiet this morning! Maryella is at her first day of school today! She was so excited this morning! She told Elianna that today was her first day! We took tons of pictures this morning at the house and then we went to the school and took more. She was so ready to get there! Once we opened the door, she saw the toys and there was no looking back! She immediately started playing and could hardly even be bothered to tell us goodbye. I can't wait to find out how her day went! I go pick her up at 11:30!

And here is a cute sequence of pictures that shows her emotions this morning. I took these in a matter of seconds and they are classic Maryella!

Nervous
Excited
Mischievious
Silly Sweet
READY!

Put on Your Dancing Shoes!!

It's that time again! The girls all started they're dance classes yesterday. Well, Annlee is doing gymnastics this year instead of dance. They all have their lessons on Tuesday, which makes for a very busy day. But I think it's doable.
Kaylin's classes start at 3:15 and go until 5:45. She does Jazz, Clogging and Ballet. After I picked her up, she said she may want to drop Jazz. She's worried that she can't do splits. We're making her wait until the end of September to decide, since we've already paid the tuition for this month.

So after I drop Kaylin off at dance, we quickly drive to the other side of town and way, way out to Annlee's gymnastics class. It starts at 3:30 and goes until 4:45. So I waited with her while she was there. I think she's really going to love it. She had a great time trying out all the equipment yesterday. I think she did pretty good for her first time doing this kind of thing! In most of these pictures, she's the one that the teacher is helping.
After Annlee class is over, we drive back to the dance studio (we had to make a pit stop at the house yesterday due to an accident Maryella had we were at the gymnastics place, thus the new dance outfit on her!) to wait for Kaylin to be done and Maryella's class to start. Her class is from 5:45 - 6:15. I wish it wasn't so late, but she seemed to handle it pretty well. She was bouncing off the walls in the lobby, but behaved herself pretty well in class from what I could tell. She was excited about the "tattoo" she got at the end of class!

It's going to be a busy year, but a fun one. I can't wait to see all the recitals in June!
