Maryella is a climber. She will climb anything at all. We've found her on the top bunk bed, the kitchen counter, numerous tables, you name it - she's climbed it. So our play set outside is right up her alley. She loves climbing up the steps to the slide. It makes me so nervous, but she seems to handle it pretty well. We've only had one scary falling incident and it wasn't too bad. Just as slightly scraped up chin. (On a positive note, that contributed to her learning a new body part - she knows where her chin is now, haha) I have to watch her like a hawk when we are outside though because she loves to sneak over to the slide when I'm not looking.
Anyway, I got a video of her climbing and sliding a couple days ago and thought I'd share it with you all! Enjoy! By the way, I'm not sure what she's saying when she's at the top of the slide, I think she's kind of singing a song to herself.

Outdoor Fun
After church and egg hunts were all done, we thought we would go home for a relaxing afternoon, right? Well, not if the Easter Bunny brought bathing suits and a sprinkler in the Easter baskets! It was pretty warm outside, so the girls enjoyed their first "bathing suit day" of the season. After that, they ate popsicles - Maryella's first! She was very happy with it, I think. She also enjoyed washing off with the hose!
One more egg hunt...
Happy Easter!
Kaylin and Annlee were so excited this morning to have finally gotten to the day that Jesus rose! They have really been learning a lot about the Easter story this year. This morning, it really felt like a celebration for them, I think. It's been an amazing and wonderful thing to watch them learn the story of what we believe and why we believe it. They are like little sponges and I love teaching them about our faith. What a sweet privilege it is!
Here are some pictures of us all dressed up for Easter!
Easter Baskets
Maryella woke us up at 5:30am ready for the day. Ugh. I was hoping to get a little more sleep this Easter morning, but oh well. Jeff needed to be at the church early this morning, so we finally had to wake up Kaylin and Annlee so Jeff would be able to see them get their baskets. They all had fun. And yes, that is a potty that Maryella got. And she couldn't be more excited! Although she has somehow gotten the idea that you put a toy in first and then sit down. We will have to work on that...
Maryella's favorite part was the cheerios in the eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden. She loved that!

Kaylin and Annlee got a little table and chairs for their dolls they had gotten for Christmas. As you can see, Maryella thought it was great!

Church Egg Hunt
We had between 75-100 kids at our church egg hunts on Saturday! It was amazing! Our girls had a ball hunting, even Maryella. She really "got it" this year and was all about grabbing those eggs. Here are some pictures from the morning...

"In Your Easter Bonnet"
Annlee's class had their Easter party today. Each child brought a hat that they had specially decorated. They all paraded into the Fellowship Hall and posed on the stage for pictures. Then they went outside and had an egg hunt. They all looked really cute and had a great time.

Pillowcase dresses
Anyway, I'm just so excited about them, I had to share!

Sweet Maryella
Just look at this sweet girl! I love her so much! She is cute, funny, lovable, and smart. She is a joy everyday and I can't get enough of her. She has so much personality and energy! I just had to share a few pictures of her so you can enjoy her too!
Here she is washing her "hanes" in the playhouse!
And blowing on her pizza. Watch out - those pretend pizza slices can be pretty hot when they come out of the pretend oven!
Coloring with Kaylin. And yes, that is a real book she's coloring in. I took it away after the picture, but the scene was just too cute not to capture on film first. She adores her sisters and will copy them all the time.
Playing her favorite game - night, night. She loves for someone to put her on the sofa and tuck the blanket all around her. She'll say "night night ... wake up!" over and over again.
Ride the horsey, go to town.
"P" is for pajamas!
Annlee's preschool class is working through the alphabet and they were on the letter "p" at this time. They had a Pajama Party and ate Pizza and Popcorn. They were all so cute coming to school on their pjs! I was taking a picture of Annlee before school and Maryella wanted to be in it too. Maryella also insisted on wearing her pajamas to drop Annlee off.
And here is Annlee with her wonderful teacher, Mrs. Hochmuth, who was also wearing pajamas! The kids loved it!
