Marmie and Granda

Last weekend, my parents were here to visit for a few days. It was extra fun because they got to come a day earlier than they normally do and the girls were so excited for them to take them to school and pick them up on Friday. We took some really great pictures on my mom's camera at the church playground on Saturday, so I'll post those when I get copies, but for now, here's a picture from after church on Sunday morning.

Children's Sunday

Here are some pictures from last week's Children's Sunday at church. The kids all did very well. They did both services and during the early service, Maryella even snuck up to the front for one of the songs! She actually did pretty good. It was Jesus Loves Me and she sang the right words and everything! Even tried the hand motions.

And we keep waiting.....

Things didn't look too favorable for an induction at the appointment today, so I'll go back on Thursday (the due date) for another appointment and an ultrasound. I want to avoid a difficult induction at all costs, so it looks like we may have a while more to wait. That's alright, though. God knows when Elianna is coming and he's got it all planned out and under control. (I just wish I knew when it would be, haha) Keep checking in and I'll update as soon as I can. If you are on facebook, you may want to add Jeff to yours. That may be the only way we have to update things while we are in the hospital. I can't wait until we can make that exciting baby announcement!

No Baby Yet...

Just keeping everyone updated that we have no baby yet. 10 days until the due date though, so we're getting close! I'll go back to the doctor on Friday and she said that she might consider inducing at that point, if I want to. Still undecided about that. I'm thinking I may not want to do anything like that until I'm overdue. But we shall see! In any case, Elianna will be here soon!

Stay tuned in the next few days for an update from this weekend. We had Children's Sunday at church and the kids all did such a good job!

Olustee Parade

This weekend was the annual Olustee Festival here in Lake City. We went to the arts and crafts booths yesterday and had fun walking around. Kaylin and Annlee were supposed to run in the kid's Fun Run this morning, but thunderstorms were in the forecast and it was drizzling rain when we woke up, so we opted out of that one. Maybe next year.

We decided to try watching the parade, even though it was still threatening rain. It got shortened quite a bit, but we still had fun. And the rain held off for us. The parade passes right by the entrance to our neighborhood, so we usually just walk up to the top of the hill to watch. We sat with some neighbors who also have 3 little girls who are each about a year younger than each of our girls.

So thankful...

I just have to say how thankful I am for God's protection! I got such a scare when we got home from church last night. I've had a cold for a couple days and my nose has been pretty stuffy. So of course, I'm not smelling much of anything. I was getting the girls ready for bed and I notice Kaylin has a funny look on her face and she's sniffing around. She goes over to her lamp and comments that something smells like it's burning. Well, a little plastic sort of bean bag thing had been put on top of the light bulb and had melted to it. I'm pretty sure it had been there all day, because the girls hadn't been playing in there since early yesterday morning. Thank God it was a low watt bulb and that Kaylin smelled it when she did. I woke up in the night and couldn't get back to sleep thinking about what could have happened if it had stayed there all night. God was watching out for us!

Oh, and now, the lamps from both of their bedrooms are up high so no one can get any ideas about cooking anymore toys. And, of course, no one will admit to putting it there in the first place. But I think my reaction to it scared them all enough that it won't happen again. They were all praying big thank yous to God in their bed time prayers last night!

Where does she learn this stuff?!?!

Maryella has just really floored me lately with some of the words she is picking up. I don't remember the others using words like this until, well, maybe not ever.
First, we were taking a walk yesterday morning and she was in her buggy. She usually starts asking to get out towards the end and I let her once we get back on our street closer to the house. So she starts saying she wants to get out and I'm telling her to wait just a little longer. She points ahead and says, "ok, but let me get out when we get to that intersection." What?!?! Intersection?!?! You've got to be kidding me!
And then today, someone gave her a valentine and it was a little box of candy hearts. She asks me what they are and I told her conversation hearts. So she eats some of them and then looks up at me and asks, "So are these hearts going to talk to me?" I just looked at her. How in the heck did she figure that out? She's too smart for me!

Last night, Maryella sneezed and it was a bit messy. She looked at me and said, "Oh, Mama, get this bless you off my nose!"
