Animal Kingdom

Thursday found us in Animal Kingdom. I had heard that you should get in line for the Kilimajaro Safari first thing, so that's what we did. It was a good idea because by the time we got done with that ride, the line was backed up pretty far.

Next we went to Dino Land, USA but made a pit stop on the way and had a quick snack.

In Dino Land, several of us wanted to ride the Dinosaur roller coaster. However, when got over there, we found out that it was shut down that day. Oh well. We took the girls to ride the Triceratop Spin. Kaylin was less then thrilled with the idea, but we made her ride it with the promise that we wouldn't make our dinosaur go up too high. She did fine!

Next, Me, Heather, Rafael and Bobby went to ride the Primeval Whirl while everyone else went to get in line for the Finding Nemo Musical. The ride was lots of fun, but the best part was watching Rafael. All I'll say is that he was "a little" scared.

The Nemo Musical was great. There were actors holding up these giant puppets and they did a great job. I was really impressed. Maryella came close to falling asleep, but at the end, bubbles came down from the ceiling and she was able to find a secret stash of energy to jump around and catch them!

On our way to the next show, we went up and got a picture with Goofy. Kaylin still wouldn't stand next to a masked character, but she didn't pitch a fit in line to stay back. Maryella was a little intimidated by Goofy and Elianna was crying (not about Goofy, she was just tired). I think Annlee was the only one who enjoyed this particular character.

We then went to watch the Lion King show. That's another really good one! Before the show started, both Elianna and Maryella had to go to the bathroom for a quick change, but at separate times, of course. While Jeff was out with Elianna, he said he walked right past Minnie and no one else was around. He took Elianna over to see her - too bad he didn't have the camera with him! He said Elianna was fascinated!

After the Lion King show, we wanted to go ride Everest, but ducked in to see Pocahontas really fast. Annlee and Maryella enjoyed dancing with some other kids for a few minutes.

And for the grand finale, Heather, Jeff and I went to ride Everest. I must say, that's a great roller coaster!

By that time, we had thoroughly worn out the kids. Both babies and Maryella were sleeping and Kaylin and Annlee could barely make it to the car! We went back to the house and the girls perked up a little to go swimming for about an hour before dinner and bedtime!
