Field Trip Time Again!

Kaylin's class went on a field trip to Silver Springs in Ocala last week and had a great time! It was hot and the bus ride was long, but the kids had a wonderful time. Kaylin's class had so many chaperones that the was no one else in our group. So we joined up with another little girl and her grandmother as well as another group that had 2 little girls in it. Apparently, the girls had planned this before the trip because the 4 of them are good friends in class. Riding the glass bottom boat. Eating lunch. On the Lighthouse, a ride that went up really high and slowly turned around so you could see the park. Here is a picture of the view of the area where you ride the glass bottom boat. All the girls posing with some "giraffes". The other 3 girls in our group had a ball feeding the giraffes, but Kaylin didn't want to. Riding the carousel. At the petting zoo. A safari ride. This little guy was just a week or two old. This bear, Max, entertained us with some funny tricks. Spending some time in the gift shops. We had 4 little shoppers on our hands, the girls would have spent all day in the gift shops if we had let them. Posing with some pretty birds. Me and Kaylin in front of an alligator statue. A white alligator. Kaylin and her favorite animal, the flamingo! In front of a big bird cage.My pretty Kaylin posing for a picture. Big turtle. Watching the otters play. Riding home on the bus.

Mother's Day, Take 2

This morning, it was special to have both my mother and grandmother here at church on Mother's Day! It made the day extra special. I'm so glad that Lindsey and Trista got to come too! We got some great pictures of all the ladies this morning. Here are me and my girls. I love being their mother! I told Maryella this morning that I love being her mom. She said, "I love being your little kid. But sometimes I still want to go live with Abby." Gotta love the honesty of a child! Here are all the ladies of the family. We're a good looking bunch if I do say so myself! All the moms of the morning, me, Ma-don and Mama. Mama and her girls. All the "big girls", haha. Kaylin, looking beautiful. And one last picture I just had to take as we were walking to the car after church and all of our family had driven away to go home. Jeff had Elianna on his shoulders and I looked up and saw this ladybug on her cheek.

Mother's Day Celebrations

We had my grandmother, mom, sister and sister-in-law here this weekend to celebrate Mother's Day with us. We had such a great time! It was a very special weekend. On Saturday, we celebrated with gifts, cake, playing outside and having fun together. I've got lots of pictures from the day! We opened gifts before lunch and all of us moms were spoiled! Ma-don got a tea kettle and frying pan that she had been wanting, Mama got a Pandora style bracelet with several beads and charms, and I got a Belk gift card, a new Francine Rivers book, and new charms for my own bracelet to represent each of my girls. We also each got lots of pretty cards, both store bought and handmade. Those handmade cards are pretty special! Here is a picture of all of my treasures! After that, it was time for a picnic lunch outside in the shade. As long as we stayed out of the sun, it was really very pleasant! We finished off lunch with a slice of yummy cake. Then it was time for some fun in the sun! The girls had a blast playing in the water all afternoon! They played with tupperware buckets. They played in the sprinkler. They ate popsicles. It was really lots of fun. Before heading inside, we took advantage of our time together to take a few more pictures.
