Elianna is 4 months old

My little sweetie pie turned 4 months old last week! I can't believe it! She's doing so well. She's growing great, she's happy, she's perfect! I love this little girl soooooooo much! She's always ready with a smile for us and she seems to love life.
We went to the doctor this morning for her check up and he kept on and on commenting about how pretty she is. He talked about her gorgeous face, her beautiful blue eyes. Of course, we agree, but it was sweet to hear her doctor say things like that.
She's 15 lbs 13 oz - that's 90% folks! How's that for growth? For someone who had such a slow start, she's really zooming now! She's 24 3/4 inches long - 75%, and her head is 42 cm - also 75%. He was very pleased with how she's doing. She did get 2 shots and an oral vaccine. I hate those shots!
She's trying to roll from her back over to her tummy, but hasn't quite got it yet. She will attempt to sit for a little while by herself. She's grabbing her toys (and our hair!). She loves to laugh at her sisters.
She's loving her bottles, taking 6 oz every 3-4 hrs (5 times a day). She's sleeping great at night - 6-7 hrs at a time. Sometime she seems to want more in a bottle, but if we try to up the amount, she spits up a lot, so we're trying to adjust things to make everyone happy right now.
Here's several more pictures of our cutie on her 4 "monthiversary" last week!

Funnies...

I just have to share some funny stuff that has occured or been said around here lately before I forget them...

-The other night, due to some unfortunate circustances, Annlee ended up sleeping with me half way through the night. As we were drifting off to sleep, she made one of the cutest comments I've heard in a while...
"Mama, I'm so thirsty for tomorrow."
And that was followed shortly by a comment that will give a bit of insight into the unfortunate circumstances...
"Mama, I think I could tell from Kaylin's throw up that she had carrots for supper."

-When we were swimming yesterday in the pool, Kaylin asked to go do something (can't remember now what it was) and I told her no. Her comment - "Snap". It just sounded funny coming from her.

-Also while swimming, Kaylin was trying to float and Annlee told her she looked like Jesus. Apparently something about her hair floating out behind her reminded Annlee of Jesus. Go figure...

-We ate supper outside last night and Annlee and Maryella were sitting in folding chairs. They were still in their bathing suits and wet. Annlee got up and her chair was wet. She looked up at me very seriously and said, "Mama, I didn't go potty in the chair, that's just from my wetness." Then Maryella told Jeff the same thing when he came out.

July 4th

We had such a terrific 4th! We just hung around the house, swam, cooked out, and just had fun together. It was wonderful!
We got up and Jeff went out to get a new grill that he's been wanting. When he got back home, he put it together while the girls played on the swingset. I rigged up the hose for them to make a water slide and we put an inflatable pool at the bottom. They had a blast! I know they'll be asking to do it again and again! Maryella wasn't too sure about it at first, but ended up loving it too! Elianna enjoyed her bouncy under the beach umbrella with a little fan. At some point, Jeff finished putting together his grill and got some ribs cooking. Mmmmm. Dinner was looking good!

After that, we went inside and ate lunch and then we celebrated my birthday. Jeff had already given me a beautiful necklace with each of the girls' birthstones on it last week. But he had even more surprises up his sleeve. I got two new Willow Tree figurines - an angel holding a star and a mother holding a baby. I also got the Nintendo DS game, Brain Age to play on the girls' DS games. I've been wanting that forever! I got a brain age of only 2 years older than I really am. Apparently the optimum brain age is 20, though. I've got some work to do!

After cake and ice cream, it was nap time. I love that time of day! All was quiet for a few hours, then we let everyone get up and put swimsuits back on to go play in the "big pool". The water was still cold, but not as bad as it used to be. It was 80 degrees. Even Elianna enjoyed it this time. When they all first got up and put on their suits, Maryella had us all in stitches at the way she got herself dressed. I can't even describe it, just see for yourself! And you can't tell from the picture, but she even had her panties on underneath still. That was the only way I was able to convince her to change - to take the panties off and then put the suit back on the right way.

Once we were all swimmed out, the ribs were ready and we sat down to a very delicious supper of BBQ ribs, grilled corn on the cob, mac and cheese and watermelon. My mouth is watering just remembering it! Yum! The watermelon gave me the idea of showing the girls how to make watermelon teeth. If you've never done this - try it sometime! Just be ready to laugh until you cry! It was hilarious! I think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. My teeth broke and I ending up looking like a hillbilly in need of a good dentist, lol!

I hope everyone else had a fabulous 4th of July too!
