The Things They Say....

I love all the great things that kids say! I've got a few goodies from today that I just have to share. As always, Maryella is a wonderful source of comedic material.

Maryella was sleepy this morning and was laying on my lap and noticed her eyes were watering. She sat up and started rubbing them and said, "Mama, my eyes are drooling!"

We were at a birthday party today and Maryella walked into the living room and saw a football game on tv. She stopped and started watching it and said to me, "I love these baseball movies. We have this one at our house."

On our way home from the party, the girls wanted to watch the dvd in the car. They weren't asking very nicely and I told them my hand wanted to turn on the movie, but it just couldn't reach the tv until it heard the magic words. I heard several pleases from the backseat, so I turned on the tv. I said,"Wow! That was amazing! Did you see how my hand was able to do that so easily once it heard the word please?" Kaylin said, "Yeah Mama, but that was so uncool."

Maryella Blooper

I gave the girls some Gatorade and graham crackers yesterday for their snack. Maryella loved the Gatorade and when she came home from school today, she said she more of that drink from snack time. I didn't remember right away what it was, so she reminded me, "You know, that alligator juice!"

Belly Button???

I can't believe it has taken me this long to post this! I know some of you have heard this story already, but for those that haven't, get ready to laugh! I can always count on Maryella to provide lots of laughter in our house and this time was no exception........

A couple weeks ago, Jeff's family was visiting, including his sister, Heather, and her little boy, Elijah, who is a bit younger than Elianna. During one of Elijah's diaper changes, Maryella happened to be present and was being very quiet as she observed everything that was going on. Keep in mind, we're a house full of girls - Maryella has never had the opportunity to see "boy parts"! Heather said that she could tell Maryella was thinking very hard about what she was seeing and Heather just waited because she knew some comment was coming. As she was finishing up, Maryella, quietly and in awe, said, "Wow! That's a really cool belly button!"

Ah Maryella! I love that crazy, funny girl!

Time for More Laughs...

I've got a few "Maryella stories" that I've been meaning to share!

Maryella went to dance the other night and while she is having the time of her life in class, there are a couple little girls who aren't loving it so much. This past week, they were crying in class and afterwards on the way home, I asked Maryella about it. She said, "One little girl named Zoe missed her Mama and Daddy, so she was sad. Another little girl, um, I can't remember her name. Um.... let's call her Ariel, because that's a nice word. Don't you like the Ariel word, Mama? Ariel was missing her Mama too."

We were at a birthay party a couple weeks ago and Maryella had been eating lunch. The other kids had mostly already finished and gone back to playing. Maryella wanted more fruit though, so I put some on her plate. As I put it in front of her, she suddenly realized that she was missing out on playing with the others, so she started walking away, calling to me, "Let's just attend (pretend) that I already ate that fruit, Mama"

Maryella came home from school after her first few days and said that she had made a new friend and they had played and played on the playground. I, of course, wanted to know who this new friend was. She told me her name was Zoe Cancer. Um, ok. I asked the teachers and there is no Zoe in her class (this makes me question whether or not there is actually a Zoe in her dance class also!). There are 2 Chloe's and a Sophie. We think it was Sophie she was talking about, but we aren't sure where the "Cancer" came from!

Jumperoo and Talking, too?

We got this new jumperoo for Elianna the other day and it is a HIT! She loves it! You put her in it and she starts jumping immediately. She loves all the toys and the music and especially the jumping! Here is a little video of her in it yesterday.

And tonight, while I was bathing Annlee and Maryella, Kaylin was in the living room with Elianna who was in her jumperoo again. Apparently, she decided to do a little videoing on her camera and she came running to me wanting me to watch because she had heard Elianna say "hey". I'll leave it up to you whether or not she said it, ;o) lol, but what's so funny to me is hearing Kaylin's reaction. I've watched it over and over and laughed every time. She's embarrassed because she says, "Oh my God", which we don't allow the girls to say in this context. She's counting on the fact that no one will know which sister she is because you can't see her face, haha. It's too funny not to share though. There's actually 2 videos and both are pretty cute.

She's not stupid!

I can't believe I forgot to include this in the "funnies" post!!!

When Kaylin (I think) was about 2ish, she would get me to clip a blanket around her shoulders and she'd run around the house saying, "Soupy Girl!" It was so cute and funny that the phrase sort of stuck. From time to time, we all tend to say it still.
Well, the other day, Maryella was running around in a similar fashion and Jeff said, "Look at the soupy girl!" Maryella turned and looked at me in disbelief and says, "He called me stupid girl! I not stupid!" It took a bit of convincing for her to believe what daddy had actually said!

And here's one more cute thing that I'm posting just for Aunt Trista!
I heard the girls playing the other day and either Kaylin or Annlee said something about whatever they were playing with being "delicious and nutritrous". Maryella looked at them and scrunched her little nose up and questioned, "why delicious aunt Trista?".

Funnies...

I just have to share some funny stuff that has occured or been said around here lately before I forget them...

-The other night, due to some unfortunate circustances, Annlee ended up sleeping with me half way through the night. As we were drifting off to sleep, she made one of the cutest comments I've heard in a while...
"Mama, I'm so thirsty for tomorrow."
And that was followed shortly by a comment that will give a bit of insight into the unfortunate circumstances...
"Mama, I think I could tell from Kaylin's throw up that she had carrots for supper."

-When we were swimming yesterday in the pool, Kaylin asked to go do something (can't remember now what it was) and I told her no. Her comment - "Snap". It just sounded funny coming from her.

-Also while swimming, Kaylin was trying to float and Annlee told her she looked like Jesus. Apparently something about her hair floating out behind her reminded Annlee of Jesus. Go figure...

-We ate supper outside last night and Annlee and Maryella were sitting in folding chairs. They were still in their bathing suits and wet. Annlee got up and her chair was wet. She looked up at me very seriously and said, "Mama, I didn't go potty in the chair, that's just from my wetness." Then Maryella told Jeff the same thing when he came out.
